All bulk-billed for eligible Medicare card holders with a valid referral.

Shoulder Ultrasound

Comprehensive imaging to assess tendons (e.g., rotator cuff), ligaments, and muscles of the shoulder. Ideal for diagnosing pain, stiffness, or injuries.

Elbow Ultrasound

Targeted scan for diagnosing pain, swelling, or restricted movement in the elbow. Evaluates tendons (e.g., common extensor/flexor tendons), ligaments, and surrounding soft tissues.

Ankle Ultrasound

Detailed imaging of the ankle joint, focusing on tendons (e.g., Achilles, peroneal), ligaments, and soft tissues. Essential for assessing sprains, instability, or chronic pain.

Knee Ultrasound

Evaluates the soft tissues around the knee, including tendons (e.g., patellar, quadriceps), ligaments, and fluid collections. Often used for pain, swelling, or post-injury assessment.

Feet Ultrasound

Imaging of various structures in the foot, such as plantar fascia, tendons, ligaments, and soft tissue masses. Useful for diagnosing foot pain, lumps, or discomfort.

Lower Leg Ultrasound

Comprehensive assessment of muscles, tendons, and soft tissues in the calf and shin. Ideal for investigating muscle tears, shin splints, or pain.

Upper Leg Ultrasound

Targeted imaging of the thigh muscles (quadriceps, hamstrings), tendons, and soft tissues. Used for diagnosing muscle strains, tears, or pain in the upper leg.

Groin Ultrasound

Imaging of the muscles, tendons, and soft tissues in the groin region. Used for assessing groin pain, strains, hernias (inguinal/femoral), or lumps.

Frequently Asked Questions

Learn about our non-invasive scans for joints, tendons, and muscles. All services bulk-billed* for eligible Medicare patients with a referral.

What is musculoskeletal ultrasound?

It’s a detailed, radiation-free scan of muscles, tendons, ligaments, joints, and soft tissues. Perfect for diagnosing injuries, pain, or swelling without surgery.

Is it safe and painless?

Yes—completely safe with no radiation or injections. You’ll feel mild probe pressure during the gel-applied scan, but it’s quick and comfortable.

Who qualifies for bulk-billing?

Eligible Medicare card holders with a valid GP/specialist referral pay nothing out-of-pocket. Confirm with us.

How do I prepare for these scans?

No special prep needed—no fasting. Wear loose clothing; we provide gowns. Avoid lotions/oils on the scanned area.

What does a shoulder ultrasound check?

It images rotator cuff tendons, ligaments, and muscles for tears, impingement, pain, or stiffness.
